Heres to 2012!

Hey ladies! Happy New Year! I hope you all had fun and were safe while celebrating the new year! I sure did. I celebrated with my best friends, the five of us are always together. We sipped on some drinks and had champagne at midnight! I was way over-dressed, as I usually am. I wore a black pleather and mesh mini cap sleeved dress from Forever 21. I paired it with almond toe nude pumps by Candies. And kept jewelry simple with a silver metal faux pearl and spike necklace. All and all it was pretty bad ass, but still feminine. I may have looked ridiculous in my glitter eyeshadow, fake eyelashes, and cocktail dress while standing next to my uber casual friends, but hey you've got to ring in the new year in style!

This is a picture that was taken of us exactly at midnight! I'm in love with it and all our faces. Can't wait to have it framed and displayed in my room.

So, after I post this I will be writing a list of my New Year resolutions and goals. What are some of yours, I'd love to know.

So, without a doubt this was a stress management attempt. School has been giving me hell,but I'm proud to say I've been kicking its ass. I felt like I deserved a little reward for all my hard work. I took a trip to Marshals, unfortunately I don't have pictures of the clothes I purchased, but they will be in the haul video on my youtube channel. I wanted to test out the new camera (Nikon D3100) my mom got for us to share, so I took photos of the makeup for you guys to get a better look at it.

I have one revlon colorburst lipgloss in rose gold. Its quite nice so I picked up two new ones.

where does time go?

Its 12:15am, so that means is officially Monday, October 10th, 2011. October 10th has no relevance to my life other than its the day before my birthday....my 21st birthday! Its absolutely crazy how fast time flies. Seriously, where does it go? I'm growing up so fast, but I still feel like a little a girl. A little girl with wild dreams.

Last year I made a list of all the things I wanted to do before I turned 21. I can't even remember the list in its entirety, but I know I only accomplished maybe one and half things. This year the only goal on my list is to be happy. Twenty was a really hard year for me, I faced a lot personal trials, but in the end I came out on top. Twenty brought me strength, I hope twentyone brings happiness, and maybe dare-I-say...love. Fingers crossed!

Now that I'll legally be able to drink, I'd like to propose a [virtual] toast, so raise your glass.

Here's to happiness, health, love, and being the absolute best me I can be....CHEERS!

lets get naked

Okay, so one word for this palette-INCREDIBLE! I'm in love with how easy this palette is. I'm a total neutral girl so every color I could possibly need is right here. I only have two Urban Decay single pot shadows, one is pink and the other is purple, so basically they haven't gotten used since sophomore year of high school. Because those shadows never see the light of day anymore I totally forgot how incredibly rich, pigmented, and easy to blend Urban Decay's shadows are. I would recommend this palette to my mother, sister-in-law, best girlfriends, so needless to say I would totally recommend it to you guys too!

All and all it was a good day (with a lot of walking!). The LIM info session was at 10am, we just made it! I actually really like the school, now to apply and work out the rest of the details. After that we made a quick stop at H&M, I didn't get anything because we were running late for a lunch date we made with my Dad. We had a lovely little lunch at a restaurant at the end of Bryant Park. I got a ham and provolone with pineapple sandwich, it was amazing, still thinking about it! Anyway, Happy Sunday to all, hope you're all kickin it fresh and relaxing!

This morning was spent running around the mall in the booties pictured above. I wanted the perfect outfit for my NYC day trip/LIM visit on Friday and eureka I think I've got it! After my city trip I'll post pictures of the outfit and the overall day! Cant wait, so excited, gonna be a blast!

lost at sea

On a perfectly overcast day my best friend, lindsey, and I grabbed coffee and took a walk on the sea wall. We chatted and caught up on everything that had happened since the night before because we see each other everyday. It was relaxing and nice for it to be just the girls (our other best friends are 3 boys and we spend a lot of time with them). So about the dress, I love it! It's been my favorite dress since I bought it in spring 2010 and I never got a chance to wear it. On this particular morning I saw it hanging in the closet and I just couldn't wait any longer! Had I been going out to dinner or had actual plans I would have worn a white strapy corked heel wedge that I got last spring as well, but I opted for an ultra casual flip flop to dress down the outfit.
